Diseases that were once thought to be caused by a single pathology are now known to have differing etiologies requiring highly specific medications.
In order to maintain its pipeline of new drugs, the drug industry is integrating biopharmaceuticals, such as therapeutic antibodies e. As the drug industry undergoes reform, drug companies are developing collaborations with academia for new sources of drug molecules.
